Microsoft Windows is undoubtedly the most used and talked
about piece of software in the world, and it has been like that for years. As
the generations of Windows come and go, and the users’ frustrations multiply;
it’s no wonder even Bill Gates said: “What an absolute mess” (Information
Week).
That could apply for more than just one version of Windows,
many users might say, considering that Windows Vista was an utter mess when it
came to replacing the far-from-perfect but million-times-better Windows XP.
Yes, many chose to give it a try, others got it with their
new computers,...

Teenagers craving for attention resort to desperate, often
reckless acts these days, and the case of a 16-year-old boy in Georgia is just
one example of how these gestures can be taken to extreme, and have serious
consequences.
The teenager released a video on YouTube that shocked the
YouTube community and the entire world. In the video, he puts an 8-month-old
baby on an inflatable pillow, jumps on the pillow and projects the baby across
the room. The baby lands face-first before starting crying.
The entire scene seems very amusing for the deranged
teenager, who wants to see if...

It seems like last week’s rumors about Microsoft’s intention to acquire the search start-up Powerset were true, as today the companies confirmed the deal. “Powerset will join our core Search Relevance team, remaining intact in San Francisco. Maybe because of 4th of July, maybe just out of generosity, or
maybe because of the 3G iPhone release, Apple decided to make a delightful surprise
to its customers by making an overnight cut of $500 for its most expensive laptop.
AppleInsider
noticed that the ultrathin 64GB Solid State Drive MacBook Air now costs $2,598
instead of the $3098 price tag available last week. It’s all been done very
quietly, as a result of price cuts in two components, the 1.8GHz Intel Core 2
Duo upgrade, now $100 less, and the Flash memory-based 64GB SSD upgrade, $400
less. However, the price tag didn’t...

In a move that could revolutionize the Web itself, Adobe has announced that it will help the two major search engines, Google and Yahoo to improve the flash search engine indexing of the Flash file format (SWF) and uncover information that is currently undiscoverable by search engines. What is odd is that Adobe has decided to provide the optimized Adobe Flash Player technology only for those two search engine, which means that other organizations that are providing search services such as Microsoft’s Live Search or Ask.com won’t be able to index the dynamic Web content and rich Internet...
