Google has decided to take another big step, only this time in
the sphere already dominated by names such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or
Safari. You’ve guessed it, we’re talking about a browser that Google said it
would introduce in more than 100 countries as of today, called Google Chrome.
It may seem odd that Google is trying to launch a browser,
but Chrome promises to be not just another browser, but a browser that will
make other browsers follow an example. The beta version of Google’s open source
browser was intended as a way of giving users a better experience, all driven
by...

Nokia Corp, the world's largest producer of mobile phones, made public on Tuesday its plans to launch in the United Kingdom its new handset that features “Comes With Music,” a service which enables users to download as much as 2.1 million music tracks during the first year and this without paying extra. The new Nokia 5310 XpressMusic handset will be launched sometime in the 4th quarter and will be retailed through Carphone Warehouse PLC. The device is intended to counter the Apple Inc-produced iPhone 3G which enables its users to download about four times more music tracks on their PCs....

With just one day since Google Chrome opened its tabs to the
world, the new browser is causing a momentum among users, experts, journalists –
pretty much anyone using the Web really. Why? The answer is very simple: the
browser promised to deliver a different experience from what we see in today’s
browsers, and even though it is still a beta release, with a lot of polishing
needed, it does seem to put Internet Explorer and Firefox in trouble.
The first time I opened Google Chrome I just knew I’d love
this browser, since it generously offered to import all my data from my...

Microsoft announced that the company’s low-end model of Xbox
360 will be subject to a price cut from $279 to $199, this rendering it the
cheapest of the new generation of consoles.
This is not the first time the company has made such a move. Last year, the
Xbox consoles’ prices were decreased in order to enable the expansion of the
user base. Although when it first came out, the gadget hit the leading
position, in July, the registered sales rates were lower than the ones for Sony’s
PlayStation3 and for Nintendo’s Wii’s, also. During that month, 205,000
units were sold, according to...

Google Chrome is the
search engine’s long awaited open-source browser project. Thanks
to Google Blogoscoped, we have the first ever concrete evidence: a 38-page
comic book sent out by Google to announce the Google Chrome project. The
illustrations were created by cartoonist Scott McCloud. This is a challenge to
Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Google has been working on the product for about
two years, but work became more serious when Microsoft launched Internet
Explorer 7.
The open source browser is based on Webkit and it is powered by Google Gears. A test version of new software...
