Rap-rocker Kid Rock has been sentenced to a year’s probation
and also fined $1,000 for a fight he was involved in last fall, at a suburban
Atlanta Waffle House.
He was also sentenced to six hours of anger management counseling
and 80 hours of community service, after he pleaded no contest to simple
battery charge. Four counts of battery were dropped.
“I think my client is satisfied,” attorney Darryl Cohen
said, as quoted by E! Online.
He added that Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert J.
Ritchie, was “not terribly unhappy” with the sentence.

Shannen Doherty will star in several episodes of the CW’s
90210 spinoff this fall, said Gabe Sachs, the executive producer of the series,
during the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on
Saturday.
“Shannen is looking forward to returning to 90210,”
Doherty’s rep told People magazine.
Doherty, who was the twin sister of Jason Priestley’s
character Brandon Walsh in the original Beverly

Rapper DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was arrested in
a Phoenix mall
Saturday and charged with identity theft in relation to a hospital visit,
police said.
Simmons gave a false name and Social Security number to a
hospital to get out of paying for medical expenses.
According to the Associated Press, Maricopa County Sheriff
Joe Arpaio said that DMX went to Scottsdale's
Mayo Clinic in April, under the name “Troy Jones” and then he failed to pay a
$7,500 bill, worth of medical care for pneumonia.

Actor Verne Troyer dropped his lawsuit against porn broker
Kevin Blatt after the defendant agreed not to market a sex tape of Troyer and
an ex-girlfriend, court documents filed Friday show.
Troyer filed a $20 million lawsuit against Blatt,
distributor SugarDVD and celebrity gossip Web site TMZ after fragments of the
video were released last month.
