After it was repeatedly criticized by the privacy advocates
for not including a Privacy link to its home page, the biggest search engine
decided this weekend to replace the word Google with a link to its Privacy
page.
Last month several privacy advocacy groups have sent a
petition to Google over the lack of visibility of its privacy policy on the
Google home page. They have asked Google to submit to the California law, which requires a direct link
to its privacy policy on its homepage.

AT&T released a new statement about its upcoming iPhone release, meant to reaffirm the pricing details of the new smartphone. iPhone enthusiasts will be able to purchase the device at a $199 price tag for the 8 Giga Bytes model and $299 for the 16 GB version. The news about Apple’s decision to release the iPhone
through the Rogers Wireless carrier in Canada has been received with a
significantly low enthusiasm, as the country’s largest mobile carrier plans to
hold its subscribers to a three-year contract, with a rather bad offer.

largest offshore oil-services provider, China National Offshore Oil Corp., has
signed a deal on Monday to buy Norwegian oil-drilling contractor Awilco Offshore
ASA for about $2.5 billion to maximize its drilling capacity and extend its
business abroad.
