Almost 50 percent of primary-care doctors surveyed said they would seriously think about working in other field than the health care one within the coming three years if they had an alternative. The Physicians' Foundation conducted a survey to promote better relationships between physicians and their patients. He may have failed to win critical acclaim, but James Bond
still is the top entertainer for moviegoers. The latest 007 movie, “Quantum of
Solace,” saw a No. 1 debut at the North American box office this weekend, by
selling an estimated $70.4 million in tickets and setting an opening-weekend
record for the long established franchise, according to studio estimates
released on Sunday. With such earnings, the Bond flick easily outshone the
previous first-weekend record for a 007 film, held by 2002’s “Die Another Day,”

Half of heart attacks and strokes happen
among apparently healthy men and women with normal or low levels of
cholesterol. The findings of a new study prompted researchers to state that
healthy people with an elevated level of a protein that has been linked to
heart disease should be given a daily dose of the cholesterol-lowering drugs known
as statins in order to prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases.
The study, called Jupiter, found that people
with high levels of the protein called CRP who took Crestor were 50 percent
less likely to suffer a stroke, need angioplasty...

Four deemed too adventurous at the time of its inception, in 1967.
The 14-minute track was recorded in 1967 with the four
Beatles, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr

Avastin, Genentech’s best-selling drug, increases the risk of people developing blood clots, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. For the study, researchers looked at data from roughly 8,000 cancer patients who participated in 15 clinical trials of the life-extending cancer medicine Avastin. The findings showed that high and low doses of the drug augmented risk of blood cloth equally. An estimated 12 percent of patients taking Avastin developed blood clots in the veins.
