“Rock Band” fans should prepare for a new experience this
year, as the makers of their favorite game promised a sequel to be released on
Xbox in September. The announcement was made by MTV Games, Harmonix and Electronic Arts on Monday.
The game will debut on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and will have an
exclusive launch window in North America, but “Rock Band 2” developers have
said that later this year, other consoles (probably PS2, PS3 and Wii) will get
their turn as well.

Last week’s Worldwide Invitational unveiled another project Blizzard
has under development, in addition to Starcraft II, World of Warcraft: Wrath of
the Lich King and Diablo III. The question is: what could it be?
As it appears, Blizzard has a fourth development team
working on something, which may not be connected with any of the above mentioned

I don’t know about you guys, but playing with Aerosmith is
just something I didn’t even dare to dream of. Having them in my living-room would
be another thing, but thanks to Guitar Hero, I will be just one of the millions
of happy fans that can make both of their dreams become reality.

Sony released today a new update for its gaming platform, PlayStation
3. Dubbed 2.40, the new update includes a lot of features like XMB
(XrossMediaBar) access in-game and Trophies. In short, Sony’s goal is to facilitate the interaction between
the users.
For example, XMB access in-game will enable gamers to
interact with friends using messaging, view their friends’ online status and
profiles (including their Trophy collection), and add new friends they meet
online to their Friends list.

Shortly after it was release, Sony has decided to remove the
2.40 firmware after some technical
issued have been reported by the users.
Apparently to new firmware was causing some problems with
the controllers, but there were also reports of consoles that stopped working
after the new firmware was installed.
Sony has confirmed the removal of the new firmware from is
servers and said that is investigating the reported issues.
The firmware will be made available after Sony will solve
