Gwyneth Paltrow Opens Up In the U.K. edition of Elle

Oscar winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow dismissed rumors that her marriage to Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin is in trouble.

While in an interview with Elle magazine, the 36-year-old Paltrow, who'll be a Grammy presenter this weekend, said she and pop star husband Chris Martin don't like to make a big show, reports the Mirror. "It doesn't behove us to be a public couple. So it's just better if we don't. We will never walk down a red carpet together and if people think it means we’re not together... ha, ha, ha.... so be it," she said.

Paltrow, who looked fabulous in the photo shoot for Elle magazine in which she wore a dark see-through number, described how she stopped smoking after she got pregnant. "The last cigarette I smoked was the day I found out I was pregnant with Apple," Paltrow says. "I'm so pissed off it gives you cancer. But then, once you have children, if you've witnessed a death like I did with my father, you just can't. But I've decided that when I'm about 70 I'm going to start smoking again. Why not? I can't wait!"

Regarding the smoking issue, the actress reveals she struggles to listen to some of her husband’s music, as it reminds her of losing her dad to cancer.

The star also spoke up for her friends Madonna and Lily Allen. She actress has made two films produced by Allen's mother, Alison Owen. She said of 23-year-old Allen and the negative publicity she receives: "Lily is not a woman yet. She'll be OK because she's a smart girl, and very talented."
