Britney Spears seems to be back on track. It has been almost a year during which she hasn’t been involved in a public meltdown and her album entitled “Circus” received positive reviews. The word “comeback” has been pronounced in the same sentence with the singer’s name more and more often lately and her name was the most searched term on Yahoo's search engine in 2008.
The latest sign that Britney Spears wants back the image that made her famous is the interview she gave Glamour magazine and the fact that she appears on the magazine’s cover, which hits stands Dec. 9. Her image on that cover is as fresh as it gets and it sends some kind of modesty.
As fore the interview published by the Glamour magazine, Britney said that all she wants next year is to be happy.
"I would like to stop worrying so much ... and to learn how to be happier, just in general."
Britney had a crazy couple of years. This is what she said in the interview and also what her MTV documentary, "Britney: For the Record," that aired last night, underlined.
She’s “been through a lot in the past two or three years." The singer, who turns 27 tomorrow, divorced Kevin Federline in 2006 with whom she has two children, and from then all spiraled downwards. The paparazzi were all over her as she shaved her head and checked into rehab. Britney lost the custody of her two children due to her chaotic behavior.
She will perform live on "Good Morning America" as she celebrates her birthday. Later that day, she will attend a party at Meatpacking District hotspot Tenjune with the occasion of her album release. Let’s hope nothing goes wrong there.
