The Medicare Rights Center advises all of Medicare customers to review their drug plan for 2009 in order for the plan to best cover their needs. It is advised that everybody should review their drug plan for the following year, even if one is happy with their current plan.
People at the Medicare Rights Center say that this is because drug plans change from year to year and customers should remain informed of what are the costs and benefits of the plan they are using. People can change their Medicare health plan or enroll with one for the first time between November 15th and December 31st.
Medicare drug plans are only available through private insurance companies and this is another reason why people should analyze every other plan that is out there in order to best decide what is best for them. People are advised to make a list of the medication they are taking and in what doses those drugs are needed and compare their list with the available drug coverage.
Also, people should mention what pharmacies they buy from most often in order to see if those certain stores are available in the plan they will choose.
People are also advised to switch to a cheaper drug plan if this plan has the same benefits as a more expensive one. The Medicare Rights Center offers valuable information to present or future customers in order to help them the plan that is the most fit for their needs.
