To add to the phone’s success, it is rumored that Google will place ads especially made for the iPhone on different sites. This is possible because, unlike other phones, the iPhone connects to the Internet and not the mobile Web, making the content you see online on the iPhone exactly the same as what you can see on a computer. Though Google representatives didn’t confirm the decision, they said that this thought crossed their minds. And why not? Ads created especially for the iPhone would increase productivity and would help people search for what they need quicker.
The iPhone would be a great gateway to a carefully selected group of people, ads that are targeting iPhone users. Imagine that when surfing the net from a mobile phone, one must be on the move. Wouldn’t it be great if the ads you encounter on the net will be targeted especially at you? These ads could link you to sites specialized in selling plane or train tickets, or to shops that sell exactly the accessory you’ve wanted for your precious iPhone. Wouldn’t it be great?
