Metallica’s “Death Magnetic” Still Reigns Charts
Metallica’s new album “Death Magnetic” continues to thrive. The latest release from the legendary heavy metal band sold 132,000 copies during its third week, just enough to secure another No. 1 spot on the US album chart.

Demi Lovato’s debut was not as shiny as it could have been simply because it came during Metallica’s great album. The actor/singer/songwriter is this week’s No. 2 on The Billboard 200 as her debut album "Don't Forget" sold 89,000 copies. Lovato starred in Disney’s “Camp Rock” with the Jonas Brothers.

Back to Metallica; the living rock legends saw the number of sold copies drop 61 percent this week, but it was enough to keep them on the first place. “Death Magnetic” sold a total of 959,000 copies in its first three weeks.

Ne-Yo is this week’s No.3 with its latest release entitled “Year of the Gentleman” (Def Jam). The album sold 83,000. The other new albums which entered this week’s top 10 were:

No. 7 – Kid Rock with "Rock N Roll Jesus"
No. 8 – Joe with "Joe Thomas, New Man!"
