Dancing With the Stars Top Two: Burke and Sapp

Monday night on the “Dancing With the Stars” show, former NFL defender Warren Sapp gave a paso doble performance that earned him the jury’s acclaim. Moreover, he managed to tie Brooke Burke’s score, who, on the second week of the contest, had taken the lead.

After the football player displayed his dancing skills alongside partner Aussie Kym Johnson, judge Len Goodman congratulated the pair on their performance, telling Sapp the paso doble was excellent and also very intense. Bruno Tonioli, another judge on the show, compared Warren Sapp’s approach to the dance to a Lamborghini taking on the freeway.

Nevertheless, Brooke Burke really impressed the jury as well. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she was mesmerized by her and her partner Derek Hough’s performance, while Tonioli told Burke she was born to dance, adding that some of the pair’s moves showed „breathtaking artistry.”

On Monday, Toni Braxton, opposite Alec Mazo, scored 23 (out of 30) points on the „Dancing With the Stars” show. Goodman told the pair they displayed great chemistry during the paso doble.

The ABC show „Dancing With the Stars” is currently at its seventh season, which was kicked off on September 22. The Primetime Emmy Award-nominated and People's Choice Award winning reality show is modeled on the United Kingdom BBC Television series „Strictly Come Dancing” and is also part of BBC Worldwide's international „Dancing with the Stars” franchise.

This Monday’s edition top three pairs were Brooke Burke & Derek Hough at a tie with Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson, with 24 points, Toni Braxton & Alec Mazo and Misty May-Treanor & Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Susan Lucci &Tony Dovolani, both pairs coming in third with a 21 score.
