The actor Kelsey Grammer, 53, was released from the New York hospital where he had been admitted for irregular heartbeat. The actor suffered a heart attack in June and the medication he had been taking ever since made him feel dizzy and caused these irregular heart beats. His state of health migh also be fragile because of his mother;s death, which occurred in July this year.
The heart attack, which occurred while Grammer was on
vacation with his wife Camille in Hawaii, was originally diagnosed as being
"mild," but Grammer later admitted that he nearly died from it. Grammer
has been married to Camille, a former Playboy model, since 1997. T
hey have a
son and daughter, both born through a surrogate mother.
The "Cheers" and "Frasier" actor has now left hospital and is on the mend, his publicist Stan Rosenfield said. This second time he was hospitalized for 8 days.
"I certainly didn't want to be a statistic who died at 53. If I can have several years ahead of me that I hope are full of life and love and some artistic reward, that's what I value," Kelsey Grammer stated.
The actor won
five Emmy awards and two Golden Globes. Besides acting he also worked as a
television producer, as a voice artist, as a director and as a write. Grammer
