Neighbors Upset With Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Monopolizing Police
It's not just Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who got fed up with all the attention and drama involving them, it's also the Jolie-Pitts' new neighbors in the small French village of Brignoles, who are bothered by the way the couple are constantly monopolizing its resources, particularly the police.

According to E!Online, locals have had enough with the latest drama surrounding the Jolie-Pitt clan and some overzealous paparazzi who managed to get onto the grounds of the couple's chateau in southern France engaging with their security team. Since the village only has several police officers, the locals reportedly complained that their duty should not be to help ward off paparazzi.

"They told them to hire more security and that they can't be called out every day because Brad and Angie aren't happy," a police source was quoted by E!Online as saying. "They have other crimes like burglaries and muggings to look into. French tax payers shouldn't have to pay to protect a couple of American celebrities."

Fellow celebrity neighbors such as Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have lived in the area for years without ever feeling the need to use up police resources, residents said. Instead, the two resume to suing a publication if it uses any privacy-invading pictures, and the paparazzi.

Earlier this week, Pitt issued a public statement declaring "war" to the paparazzi after being "fed up" with his private property being "violated." Paparazzi dressed in camouflage sneaked on the couple's grounds in order to snap some picture of the family but were caught the security guards. Both sides escaped with minor cuts and bruises and were taken to the local police department for questioning.

Legal complaints were filed accusing one another of battery and causing injury, and one of the photographers also filed complaints for illegal detention and arrest, the Associated Press reports.

"We caught the two and tried to escort them off the property," said Webb, but they went "berserk, thrashing out, kicking and actually biting one of the security people, breaking his finger, drawing blood and screaming that he had Hepatitis C."

Another poignant issue is the planned schooling of the Brangelina clan. Some parents do not want the Jolie-Pitts attending the same school as their children, for fear the paparazzi will stake out the area and invade their own children’s privacy.

"This is a beautifully peaceful area of the world, and Brad and Angelina are threatening that peace," one disgruntled resident said. "Their kids have the right to go to school but not if it means strange men hanging around at the gates with cameras threatening local kids' privacy. A lot of villagers aren't happy at all that they've moved here and wish they'd move away again."

Maddox has been attending the prestigious Lycee Francais schools, which has a network of over 400 schools around the world. Presumably attending schools that are linked like that gives the children a certain sense of continuity they would not have otherwise.
