Things are getting more interesting day by day in Alex Rodriguez’ divorce trial from his wife Cynthia Rodriguez. The latest piece of information regarding the failing relationship of the two is that Cynthia thinks her soon-to-be ex-husband had her wiretapped and secretly tailed, new court documents revealed.
After a routine request for financial documents, computer records, property reports and medical bills, Cynthia also made a surprise request which accused A-Rod of stealing signs. Her lawyers demanded any reports received from a detective, investigator or any other person based upon surveillance of “your spouse.” C-Rod’s lawyers requested in documents filed in a Florida court that A-Rod must provide them with "all written memorabilia, reports and photographs submitted to you or your attorney by any person other than yourself," Foxsports.com reported.
According to well-known New York divorce lawyer Raoul Felder, the lawyers of the soon-to-be Yankee ex-wife wouldn’t have made this explosive demand without really believing that A-Rod spied on her. Felder described the request as “very out of the ordinary" and added that it’s very hard to say which side will have something to gain from the alleged spying.
A spokesman for New York Yankees’ third baseman couldn’t be reached for comment. A-Rod is staring tonight in American League’s All-Star Game which will be held at Yankee Stadium.
In court papers, Cynthia, 35, described her relationship with A-Rod as "irretrievably broken," but admitted that she was still in love with him. The fact that Alex Rodriguez is a habitual cheater – as his wife described him – was mainly the reason of the couple’s break up, but the last straw was the New York Yankee slugger’s late-night, extra-innings games with Madonna.
