Search crews found Sunday the body of a 42-year-old woman who was reported missing Saturday. She was swimming at Pemble Beach in St. Croix County.

According to FOX 9 News, Lona Donahue from St. Paul was found about 338 feet from the shore. The woman was in the water with her daughter and a friend of her daughter when a big wave swept them off their feet. While the girls got lucky and were rescued by two young men who jumped into the water, Lona Donahue was carried away.

Lona Donahue's 13-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, and Aliyah Vennemann, the other girl, were saved but Donahue didn't manage to get to shore.

Elizabeth Donahue said that they were not far into the water but the wave was very strong.

“We weren't even out that far, it was just a little bit below my chest, and this big wave came and just pushed us out farther into the water,” said Elizabeth, according to FOX 9 News. She added that, when they realized their feet didn’t reach the bottom of the water, they started to scream for help.

The two men who were brave enough to rescue the girls are Matthew Finley, 19, of River Falls, and Matthew Leick, 23, of Hudson.

Lona Donahue left behind 2 girls: Elizabeth,13, and Amber, 17.
