Former model Christie Brinkley enjoyed the 4h of July celebrations with one of her many former husbands, Billy Joel, with whom she has a 22-year-old daughter, Alexa Ray Joel. Mother and daughter joined Joel's family at his Sag Harbor, N.Y., house, People reports.

Meanwhile, her soon-ex-husband Peter Cook was with his 13-year-old son Jack and girlfriend Suzanne Shaw. People claims that the three went for a ride on Cook's boat, The Sweet Freedom.

In opening declarations, Brinkley’s lawyer described the supermodel’s husband, 49, as an incurable adulterer, while his lawyer portrayed her as a woman so consumed with anger that she’s capable to turn children against their father.

Former model and serial wife Christie Brinkley married architect Peter Cook in 1996. Ten years later, she was filing for divorce, once the relationship unfortunately came to a sad end, after her husband’s extramarital affair with his assistant, then 18, was revealed. It appears that the girl's stepfather, Southampton Village police officer Brian Platt, said to Brinkley that Cook “won’t knock it off. He’s having an affair with my teenage daughter.”

Cook initially denied his affair with the young Diana Bianchi, but acknowledged it in his testimony, adding that he gave her expensive gifts and tried to buy her silence. He also confessed to spending thousands of dollars on online porn.

Christie Brinkley, 54, was born Christie Lee Hudson. She was a model with Elite Model Management, then signed a contract with cosmetics giant Cover Girl. She appeared on the cover of three consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, between 1979 and 1981. She also had at some point her own television series "Living in the 90's With Christie Brinkley," a daily half-hour show, on CNN.
