The First Day of Christie Brinkley’s Divorce

I think Peter Cook and his divorce will be over at the same time. This divorce is the beginning of the end for Peter Cook, the soon to be ex-husband of former supermodel Christie Brinkley.

In the first day of the over the top public trial, Peter Cook admitted all he could have admitted. Yes, he had an affair with his 18-year-old assistant, yes he bought her expensive gifts, including a $15,000 car, for which he paid in cash, yes he watched internet porn and yes he neglected his wife.

“He was so busy spending his cash on the Internet and Diana Bianchi that he never put a cent back into his family,” said Robert Cohen, Christie Brinkley’s lawyer, according to the New York Daily News.

Apparently Peter Cook accessed some porn sites from his kid’s library. It was all downhill from there for Peter Cook. There was no turning back, no escape as Christie Brinkley’s lawyers exposed his actions. Peter Cook allegedly spent about $3,600 a year on Internet pornography, while he was married to the former supermodel.

The trial was said to last about four weeks and, during this time, the two parts would discuss the children’s custody and the assets: cash, three boats and some land.

While Christie Brinkley’s attorney Robert Cohen said that Peter Cook’s actions were too much for the ex-supermodel and she was “devastated” when she found out about the affair, the architect’s lawyer Norman Sheresky said Peter Cook’s wife was very demanding and, even though his client helped her make a fortune from real estate, it wasn’t enough for her.

According to Newsday, Diana Bianchi testified that she and Peter Cook had sexual relations and the architect bought her a 2005 Nissan Maxima and gave her cash. She said they both realized they liked each other.

“I wouldn't say that one of us pushed the other. I would say it was mutual,” said Diana Bianchi.

Christie Brinkley made no comments on the first day of the trial.
