Jeff Goldblum Joins "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"
Actor Jeff Goldblum is joining the cast of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” replacing Chris Noth, of “Sex and the City” fame, who is withdrawing after three seasons of the show.

Goldblum will star alongside Vincent D’Onofrio, the show’s veteran star.

“Jeff’s presence will add a new dimension to an already successful show,” “Law & Order” chief Dick Wolf said.

Fans of Goldblum’s will be able to enjoy his presence on the small screen once the second season on USA Network starts in the fall. The change comes after six seasons on NBC.

Last year, Goldblum starred in NBC’s short-lived supernatural cop drama “Raines,” as an LA detective who has supernatural experiences. Before that, he starred opposite Kevin Spacey in the London production of David Mamet’s “Speed-the-Plow.”

Goldblum’s schedule does not end here, as he will next be seen on the big screen in “Adam Resurrected.”

D’Onofrio is perhaps best known for his portrayal of the quirky but brilliant Detective Robert Goren on the NBC television show. The full cast includes Kathryn Erbe, Julianne Nicholson, Alicia Witt, and Eric Bogosian.

Goldblum’s filmography includes “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “The Big Chill,” “The Fly,” “Jurassic Park” and more recently, “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou” and “Man of The Year.”
