Amy Winehouse Still Smokes Despite Early Emphysema
Amy Winehouse's rep says that her father exaggerated her diagnosis and the singer does not have emphysema, but "early signs of what could lead to emphysema." Spokesman Chris Goodman told People that "If she keeps doing the wrong things, then it could lead to it. If she does the right things, it won't."

Well, Amy Winehouse is NOT doing the right things. Right out of the hospital, the awkward singer was photographed smoking. She headed for rehearsals for the concert in London on Friday celebrating the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela. There's also a Glastonbury music festival scheduled the following day which she planned to attend. However, the doctors will allegedly have the final word.

Amy’s father said in an interview published Sunday by the Daily Mail of London that his daughter's crack and cigarette smoking had generated early-stage emphysema, and that the singer had an abnormal heartbeat. He said she had been told that she would have to walk everywhere wearing an oxygen mask unless she quits smoking drugs.

Mitch Winehouse later seemed to take back his dire statements, and said that with patience her lungs will recover completely and she is "flourishing" as a response to therapy.

The 24-year-old soul diva fainted at her North London home Monday after signing autographs for fans and was taken for tests to a London hospital. This is hardly the first time Winehouse has seen the inside of a hospital. The condition of her health has long been a concern for family, friends and fans.

Winehouse cancelled a string of concerts last year, both in Europe and North America, due to poor health, checked in and out of rehab facilities and has even been investigated by the police after a video showing her use drugs was sent to a British paper.
