Courteney Cox's 'Dirt' Got The Boot
Actress Courteney Cox Arquette had some sad news to share with her fans telling TV Guide at a charity event in Los Angeles that her FX show "Dirt" will not be renewed for a third season.

Appearing on Sunday at the "A Time for Heroes" Celebrity Carnival benefiting the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the former "Friends" star said "It just got canceled," when asked about the show's future.

Apparently, the series, executive produced by the actress and her hubby, David Arquette, wasn't really a hit in the first place. It was given a second chance and a new format starting with the second season, which was cut short by the writers' strike, failing to deliver the ratings it needed.

However, Cox seemed optimistic and revealed that she and her husband are already working on other projects.

"We're developing all kinds of stuff right now. We'll be producing more stuff together, for sure," the actress told TV Guide.

The series, which follows Lucy Spiller, played by Cox, as an executive editor at two tabloid magazines in her manic pursuit of celebrity gossip, guest starred Cox's "Friends" co-star and good pal Jennifer Aniston, and David's sister, Rosanna Arquette.

And speaking of Aniston, Cox recently said the actress, who is currently dating John Mayer, is happy and in "in a good place." Last weekend, Mayer and Aniston were photographed at Cox's Malibu home while on Wednesday, Mayer, Aniston and Cox were spotted dining out in Los Angeles.
