DiCaprio To Portray Nolan Bushnell In “Atari”
Leonardo DiCaprio, the man whom for many viewers will remain Jack Dawson from “Titanic”, will portray Nolan Bushnell in the upcoming movie “Atari”.

In case we are not familiar with the video gaming history, then Atari probably doesn’t ring any bell. Founded in 1972, Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney, Atari was the biggest gaming companied in the 80’s and it was responsible for revolutionary games such as Pong and the video computer system, Atari 2600.

However, in 1977 Nolan Bushnell sold Atari to Warner Communications and in 1982, Atari had become the fastest-growing company in the history of American business.

Two years later, the company was split in three parts and in 2001 Infogrames bought Atari brand.

After his departure from Atari, Bushnell founded several other companies such as Catalyst Technologies Venture Capital Group, Sente Games and uWink.

According to Variety, the script of “Atari” will be written by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman.

Meanwhile Leonardo DiCaprio is working with Martin Scorsese on “Shutter Island,” a mystery drama and an adaptation of Dennis Lehane's 2004 novel made by Laeta Kalogridis.

The cast of “Shutter Island” includes also Max von Sydow, Emily Mortimer, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams and Patricia Clarkson.

DiCaprio has just finished filming geopolitical thriller “Body of Lies” for Warner Bros, directed by Ridley Scott. The film is based on the novel of the same name by David Ignatius and co-stars Russell Crowe. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 10.
