Some tech websites are already posting pictures of the 3G iPhones allegedly taken from the company’s advertising brochures.
However, as Apple has managed to keep the secret, it is hard to say if the photos are real or just fakes.
While everyone seems to agree that the 3G iPhone, or iPhone 2.0 as some prefer to call it, is a sure nothing, there is little known about its specifications and features.
There a rumors that the new iPhone could include not only the 3G technology but also new multi touch features, a better camera and/or an additional camera for video chat, GPS, more memory, a geo-tagging software, Bluetooth 2.0, stereo speakers and so on.
Also the design of the new phone is controversial. Would iPhone will be thinner or fatter than its previous version?
Of course, another point of debate is the price of the new device. While some sources claim that the new iPhone will be cheaper than the previous model, there are some voices which are saying that in fact Apple could unveil a high-end device.
As the rumors are running rampant, it will be interesting to see if on Monday Apple will manage to live up to the hype and to se how the real iPhone 2.0 will look like.
While the 3G iPhone frenzy continues to build up, let’s not forget that the iPhone SDK will be one of the highlights of Jobs’ keynote.
In March this year, Apple released the first beta version of its Phone Software Development Kit (SDK). At WWDC, Steve Jobs will probably unveil the final version of the iPhone SDK and only God (and probably some Apple key officials) knows what surprises we can expect.
And there is also the famous phrase “There is…one more thing..”. Those familiar with Jobs’ keynotes know that is the key phrase used by Apple boss before unveiling some new and exciting product. CultOfMac has created even a list of the products introduced after this key phrase and if you want to know what to expect is worth to check their presentation.
My guess is that the 3G iPhone and the iPhone SDK are sure things, but it will be interesting to see what else has Jobs in store for us.
