Already speaking about married life, rocker Pete Wentz, who got married to Ashlee Simpson on Saturday, revealed in an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show that the newlyweds did sign a pre-nup and are currently "honeymooning" in the basement of a house. However, he continued to avoid the pregnancy questions pointing out that the fact is still unconfirmed.
"We have signed a pre-nup," Simpson's new hubby told Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday. He went on saying Ashlee took his name, and is legally "a Wentz," but he was uncertain about the singer's decision regarding her stage name.
Unlike other celebrities who spend tens of thousands vacationing during their honeymoon, the couple have put that on hold for now, and are enjoying a more unusual holiday "in the basement of a house," the Fall Out Boy bassist said, describing it as the "most secure place that we could do it," after being rumored the two were heading towards Mexico for their honeymoon.
"We've got some, like, blow-up palm trees down here. It's pretty nice, man. A little fake-'n'-bake tanning booth. It's gonna look like we went on a private jet somewhere. And we're gonna save that 30 grand," he explained, adding that, "we're just sitting down here, eating DiGiorno pizza, getting in that tanning bed every once in a while. It's great, you know."
Although Ashlee reportedly confirmed her pregnancy to everyone at the reception over the weekend, when Seacrest alluded to the whole pregnancy thing, Wentz played coy once again saying the baby hasn't been confirmed.
"The only thing I’m confirming now is that we’re in the basement on our honeymoon with these blow-up palm trees," he added, also ditching further questions his new sister-in-law, Jessica, and her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who reportedly split right before the wedding, but attended the event anyway.
"I don’t know anything about what’s going on with them. I’m so busy clearing up my own rumors!" he said.
