Authorities informed that a bomb was set off Tuesday in the town of Kohat, Pakistan. It was a roadside bomb and it exploded when a Pakistani military truck was passing. Seven people were wounded.

According to Reuters, this was the third bomb in the last two days. Kohat is an important military base for Pakistani troops.

Pakistan was the target of some bomb attacks that happened last year and early this year, many of which were caused by suicide bombers. The situation seemed more at ease when the new government came in March and began some peace talks with the Islamic militants.

But, since then, there have been 3 bombs attacks including a suicide attack on Sunday in the town of Mardan, near a military training center. There were 13 people killed.

Police official Ibrahimullah said that the bomb was on a bicycle and it wounded seven people, 4 of which were “paramilitary men,” reported Reuters.

No one claimed responsibility for Tuesday's attack, or for another one on Monday evening that left behind three dead people outside a mosque in Bajaur. Only the Sunday attack in Mardan was claimed by Taliban militants.

Although the new government is trying to direct its resources towards negotiations with Taliban militants, in order to persuade them to stop the attacks, Pakistan’s allies who are at the border with Afghanistan fear that a peace between these two would cause militants to redirect their attention on attacks in Afghanistan.

General Dan McNeill, NATO's commander in Afghanistan said that reinforcements will be sent this week to the border with Pakistan.
