Several weeks ago when CW network announced its plans of developing the new "90210" spin-off with "Veronica Mars" creator Rob Thomas heading the project, Thomas made it clear that he would like to have Garth on his set.
Garth was scheduled to appear in a comedy pilot put together
for CBS, "My Best Friend's Girl,", but she abruptly left the
set.
The split was described as a mutual decision between the actress and the show’s
producers. Canadian actress Kristin Booth is reportedly going to replace
her.

The original show ran for 10 years from 1990 to 2000 and starred Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling.
Reacting to the news about the upcoming "90210" spin-off, Tori Spelling, who played Donna Martin, said she would love to be part of the show.
