According to the school, he was also not following lesson plans and was allowing the students to play with some computers that had not been approved yet. Originality? How dared he?
Of course it’s okay for David Blaine to levitate or to do magic with playing-cards. People endorse that, people want that, people watch it on television. But when a simple substitute teacher has a little more creativity he gets kicked out.
“I get a call in the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, ‘Jim, we have a huge issue. You can’t take any more assignments. You need to come in right away.’ I said, ‘Well Pat, can you explain this to me?’ ‘You've been accused of wizardry.’ Wizardry?” Piculas said, according to First Coast News.
He tried to defend himself by explaining the trick and he is concerned that the incident may prevent him from being considered for future jobs.
