Madonna celebrated the release of her new album “Hard Candy” with an intimate 38-minute concert at Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan on Wednesday night.

"Hard Candy" is on its way to become Madonna’s 10^th UK number one album, also threatening to knock off Mariah Carey’s E=MC2 from the top of the US album chart.

Many Madonna fans have waited in line for more than two days, in order to attend the concert, but they all declared it was worth waiting.

To them, Madonna dedicated the song “Hung Up,” expressing her sympathy.

 "All you people I saw sleeping in the street last night," she said, as quoted by the New York Times, "this song is for you."

"Anybody who knows me knows how much I hate to wait," she added at the end of the song.

During the intense half an hour, Madonna was in best shape as usual, singing, dancing, playing the guitar and showing off her fit, muscly body.

She opened the concert with "Candy Shop," a new song, while she sat on a golden throne, dressed in black and bearing a glass scepter. She then accompanied herself with an acoustic guitar while singing "Miles Away" and surprised the audience with an industrial version of "Hung Up," from her 2005 album "Confessions on a Dance Floor."

After performing a couple of songs from her new album, she closed the show with her 2000 hit "Music."

The surprise guest of the night was Justin Timberlake, who emerged from behind a video screen, causing the public to scream. The members of the audience were thrilled to snap photos of the two, as they showed off their hot dancing skills on their latest single "4 Minutes."

For "Hard Candy," Madonna also collaborated with Pharell Williams and The Neptunes.

"Even though I have made what seems like 100 records, every time I put one out it’s like the first time and the best time," she told the excited audience at Roseland Ballroom.
