Mario Kart Wii To Hit The Store Shelves Today
While the gaming world is buzzing about the Rockstar’s GTA IV, Nintendo is shipping Mario Kart Wii  in the US today. The new game is delivered together with a new accessory that will delight the gamers: Wii Wheel.

The accessory has been specifically designed and engineered so that even someone who has never played a video game before can pick up the Wii Wheel and start racing instantly, Nintendo said in a statement.

With a broadband hookup to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, players will be able to compete with up to 11 other drivers from around the world for racing dominance.

Mario Kart Wii is bringing 16 new courses, in addition to the 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games and it promises a lot of fun as the players will have the option to race with karts or motorbikes.

Anyway, Nintendo said that the Wii Wheel will be sold also as a separate accessory, so everyone in the household can race with its own wheel. However, the Wii Wheel is not the only method to control the kart. The game supports Wii Remote turned on its side, Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination, Classic Controller and even Nintendo GameCube controller.

In the multiplayer mode, the game supports up to four players. Mario Kart Wii is the latest game from the Mario Kart franchise, which debuted in 1992 with Super Mario Kart. The game made its European debut earlier this month, on April 11.
