Comedian Jerry Seinfeld was this close to death Saturday evening, when the brakes on his
vintage car failed and the vehicle turned over – but the actor walked away in
one piece and still managed to crack a joke.

“His actions probably avoided a very serious accident,”
Sarris said. “I think he was a little shaken up, with justification.”
What is most amazing in this story is that the comedian
walked away safe and sound – not a wound, not a bruise, not a scratch. He
required no medical attention whatsoever.
“He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to

been a lot worse, obviously, and thank God it wasn’t. He’s fine.”
Not only was Seinfeld fine, he was also still in a humorous
disposition.
“Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make
sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend,
unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do. It
is not something I plan to make a habit of.”
Sarris added that the actor had not been drinking. The accident was ascribed to mechanical failure.
