Amber Alert Issued for Two Brothers Abducted after Home Invasion

Baltimore County police is still searching for two teenage brothers apparently kidnapped after six gunmen invaded their home near Baltimore on Tuesday.

The teenagers, named Sterling Blackwell, 16, and Stephon Blackwell, 17, were taken from their home in the 600 block of Plymouth Road in Catonsville around 11 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a state police news release wrote, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The newspaper further wrote the abduction followed a home invasion around 3 a.m. when a gang of masked gunmen broke into the house. After 8 hours spent inside the house, the intruders left with the two teenagers, in a black 2004 BMW 645 convertible that belongs to one of the occupants, the Sun reported citing Baltimore County police representative Cpl. Mike Hill.

A relative of the teenagers who happened to be driving by saw the whole incident, while being shot by one of the gunmen, police told the newspaper.

The vehicle was found in East Baltimore on Tuesday about 8:30 p.m.

Following the abduction, County police requested Maryland State Police to issue an Amber Alert describing the boys. Sterling Blackwell was described as black, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and 150 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a green hooded sweatshirt at the time of the abduction, while Stephon Blackwell was described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and 145 pounds and wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.
