"The Punisher" star Thomas Jane joined the list of celebrities arrested and charged for DUI. The actor was put under arrest on Monday morning after police found him at the wheel of his fancy car with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent,TMZ.com reported.
The California Highway Patrol officers stopped Thomas Jane for driving on I-5 in Kern County, California. He was pulled over near the city of Buttonwillow, at 2:43 AM on Monday.
The actor known for his role in the 2004 film “The Punisher” was driving his Maserati at "an extremely high rate of speed", but after they pulled him over, police officers found out that speeding wasn’t Jane’s only law breach.
Jane, whose real name is Thomas Elliot and is married to actress Patricia Arquette, didn’t pass the sobriety tests, including the breathalyzer, and the California Highway Patrol officers also found out that he was also driving with a suspended license.
The Californian police officers said an arrangement was set for April 9 and the actor, who also starred in “The Mist,” “Magnolia” and “The Thin Red Line,” was released because he fully cooperated with police officers and promised to appear at the arrangement.
Driving under the influence and with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent are both misdemeanors.
Jane is father to Harlow Olivia Calliope, who was born on February 20, 2003. He married Patricia Arquette in Venice, Italy, on June 24, 2006.
