Robert Downey Jr. To Play A Black Man In Tropic Thunder
It seems like the upcoming Ben Stiller’s movie, “Tropic Thunder” will be full of surprises. In the movie Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. are portraying three actors who should play in a Vietnam War movie. The catch is that their director decides to send them in a real war.

The movie, in which Owen Wilson also had a supportive role until he was replaced by Matthew McConaughey, is scheduled to be released this August. Paramount Pictures plans to unveil the official movie trailer on March 17. But here comes the real surprise; Entertainment Weekly discovered that in the movie Robert Downey Jr. will play the role of Kirk Lazarus. In their war movie, Lazarus’s character is Sgt. Osiris, who is...black. So Lazarus aka Robert Downey Jr. decides to dye his skin and to play the role, whatever it takes.

''If it's done right, it could be the type of role you called Peter Sellers to do 35 years ago,'' Downey said, quoted by Entertainment Weekly. ''If you don't do it right, we're going to hell.''

So, if you wish how Robert Downey Jr. will look in Tropic Thunder, you should check the exclusive picture obtained by Entertainment Weekly and posted on their website.

“Tropic Thunder” is written and directed by Ben Stiller, who said for Entertainment Weekly that he is confident he never crossed the line. Stiller recently screened a rough cut of the film and it scored high with African-Americans. ''It seems people really embrace it,'' he said.
