Here’s one couple you may not have been expecting: Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton and Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, all cute and cuddly for the cameras over the past few days.

Wouldn’t it be sweet if best friends Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie married twin musicians Benji and Joel Madden? It now seems possible, as the blonde heiress and the tattooed guitarist have been photographed holding hands at Hollywood's Fred Segal and reportedly had lunch with Madden’s mother recently, celebrity gossip site TMZ.com reports.

Richie and Joel Madden are proud new parents to baby Harlow Winter Kate Madden, born on Jan. 11. The girl, a first child both for Madden, 28, and Richie, 26, has the rocker extremely excited with parenthood, as made evident by his emotional blog posts and statements to the press.

Earlier this month, the happy new dad was telling People magazine that Harlow is “definitely a mama's girl” and that he finds it hard to be apart from her.

Twin brother Benji split from fiancée Sophie Monk some two weeks ago and is probably seeking comfort in the presence of Paris Hilton. The former reality television star (she and BFF Nicole Richie starred in “The Simple Life” between 2003 and 2007) is probably in need of consolation after her 18-year-old brother was arrested earlier this month, right?

But clever Paris is looking for solace elsewhere too: in a new reality television series dedicated to finding a new friend for the 27-year-old socialite.

“The show is going to be about her searching for a new best friend,” a source told Us Weekly. “Paris is tired of the haters and she's looking for someone new. She's looking for someone new and cool who she can trust.”

The yet to be titled project promises to be “full of good chick drama” and to show a side of Paris “not seen on ‘Simple Life.’”
