New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) Are Planning A Comeback
One of the most famous boy bands in the 90’s, New Kids On The Block (also known as NKOTB) is planning a comeback, according to a report from People.com. Meanwhile, the NKOTB official site is up and, according to People.com, the group will announce their reunion in February.

The group, which included five boys, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood, along with brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight released its first album New Kids on the Block in 1986. But they became famous four years later, with the album Step by Step.

The album included songs like Step by Step and Tonight and it was certified as triple platinum, selling close to twenty million copies worldwide.

In 1990, Forbes ranked New Kids On The Block as Number 1 in the list of highest paid entertainers.

Unfortunately in 1994, after they released the fourth studio album Face the Music and changed their name to NKOTB, the five boys decided to disband the group, as they failed to attract new fans.

Donnie Walhberg, the brother of Mark Walberg, went on pursuing an acting career and amongst other TV series, he had a role in “Band of Brothers”.

Joey McIntyre pursued his career as a singer and his latest album, Talk To Me, was released in 2006.

Jonathan Knight has left the show business and he is a real estate agent, while his brother Jordan has a quite successful career as solo singer. His latest album, Love Songs, was released in 2006 by Transcontinental Records. Danny Wood has his own record label called Damage Record.

In 2005, VH1 tried to reunite New Kids On The Blok for one night show, but three members, Foey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood refused to show up.
