Mr. Big Becomes a Daddy

“Sex and the City” sexy actor Chris Noth, 53, and his long time girlfriend, Tara Wilson are the proud parents of a baby boy, a rep for the actor confirmed to People magazine.

“I am happy to confirm that Chris Noth and Tara Wilson are the proud parents of a happy and healthy baby boy,” the rep said.

Orion Chrsitopher Noth was born in Los Angeles on Friday weighing 7 lbs and 10 oz.

“Chris and Tara are thrilled and all are doing well,” the rep added for People.

The two actors, who have been an item for four years, announced the pregnancy in November.

Mr. Big, as known from the “Sex and the City” where he plays Carrie Bradshaw’s charming on-off squeeze and Wilson met while she was working at his New York bar, The Cutting Room. The couple is soon expected to appear on the big screen as well, in the Indy drama “Frame of Mind,” in which Noth revives a journalist and Wilson has a supporting role. The movie was filmed in Carlstadt, N.J., last year.

Besides these two projects, Noth is also playing Detective Mike Logan in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

In addition to his movie carrier, Noth is known to be a sustainer of Barrack Obama and he is looking forward to the upcoming presidential elections. A sustainer of the campaign against global warming, he said he would like to hear all of the candidates talk more about this issue.

“They’re all diverted by wars in foreign countries. The real war is going to be when nature decided they’ve had enough. I don’t think any of them are acting with the kind of immediacy that’s needed,” said Noth referring to the current presidential campaign.
