According to De Beer, it seems that Cisco has brilliant plans and big dreams for the future, as it expects to be doing a $50 billion business in video by 2013.
Thus, one of the most profitable and popular high tech companies, Cisco Systems, bets on video applications as the future of the next generation of Internet. On Monday, the company announced that it had already made 100 deals with large enterprises to deploy its Telepresence high def conferencing system throughout their organizations.
By mixing high def video with high-quality audio and presentations, Telepresence was designed to create the impression of live meeting. Thanks to this new technology, companies are able to cut travel costs and to keep more in touch with their customers from all around the world.
According to Cisco’s Chairman and
CEO John Chambers, the company itself tried Telepresence and it was a success.
