Revamped Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was in her element Monday night, as she chatted with Larry King on his CNN show about her musical comeback, her “lovely life” with hubby David Beckham and their three kids and about styling Jack Nicholson.
Victoria Beckham is probably relishing the deluge of attention she has been experiencing over these past few weeks, what with the Spice Girls reunion and ongoing tour, being dubbed “fascinating” by veteran journalist Barbara Walters and recently styling Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson for a Parade photo shoot.
Monday night she talked to Larry King from Las Vegas, where she was scheduled to perform with her fellow spicy singers, and gushed extensively about her fortunate family life and the recent opportunity to work with Nicholson.
She explained to King that her motivation for rejoining the Spice Girls, who broke up in 2000 after merely six years of “girl power,” was to show her three sons with soccer superstar David Beckham what “Mummy” really does.
She therefore gave sons Brooklyn, 8, Romeo, 5, and Cruz, 2, the chance to “see Mummy be a pop star again.”
“[They're] seeing what Mummy does,” the 33-year-old fashionista said. “That I just don't moan at [them] and make them eat their dinner and clean their teeth. They're seeing Mummy doing what she loves doing.”
She also said her husband was traveling with the Spice Girls, and called him a “Spice Boy.” Beckham, 32, has been married to Victoria since 1988. The couple moved to Los Angeles this summer and has been in the spot light ever since.
“I respect everything that David does, and he respects and loves what I do,” Posh told King. “We complement each other, we support each other. We have a lovely family and we're very, very happy. We're very lucky.”
The Spice Girls started their reunion tour Dec. 2 in Vancouver, Canada. They have a show tonight at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center and then they’re off to London, where they have a string of concerts scheduled throughout December and January.
While Victoria has been criticized for her poor singing abilities, fashion is certainly within her comfort zone and her experience styling Jack Nicholson for a photo shoot for Parade Magazine apparently made her happy.
“I used to do styling quite a few years ago,” she told King. “When I stopped, I said the only person I would ever want to style again would be Jack Nicholson, because I am such a huge fan. When the opportunity came up, I jumped at the chance!”
