Yahoo Inc. announced today, on their portal, that they will provide mobile search services to nine more cell phone operators in Asia.

The new partners of Yahoo are Aircel (India), BPL Mobile (India), Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) (India), DiGi Telecommunications (DiGi) (Malaysia), PT Excelcomindo Pratama (Excelcom) (Indonesia), PT Hutchison CP Telecom (Indonesia), PT Indosat (Indonesia), PCCW Mobile HK (Hong Kong) and StarHub (Singapore).

The company already detains seven partnerships in Asia, including South Korea, Taiwan and Philippines, bringing Yahoo’s total worldwide distribution partnerships to 20 mobile operators in 19 countries.

The company has not delivered the financial terms yet.

Yahoo! oneSearch was launched for the first time in January this year in the U.S.

Yahoo! oneSearch was launched in Latin America on Tuesday. Users from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico will be able to find local information in Spanish and Portuguese languages.

At this moment people from Argentina, Brazil, France, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States are already benefiting from it.

The company has already announced that the service will be available in additional countries in the near future.

People can use the service for a faster check on weather, directions, movies, flight information, local listings and currency conversion. They can also access Web and mobile Web sites.

Yahoo’s announcement came a week after their rival Google Inc. revealed that it is developing a free mobile software package that will be available in the second half of next year. Named “Android,” Google’s mobile software is designed for an easier search of the Web over cell phones and other mobile Gadgets.
