Rapper Trick Daddy Arrested in Strip Club
Rapper Trick Daddy, real name Maurice Young, was arrested early Tuesday after getting himself into a fight at a Miami strip club.

The 33-year-old “Thugs Are Us” rapper was busted in Miami in the early hours of Tuesday morning, after he caused a bit of havoc at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami Gardens.

A spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department told E! Online that an argument between Trick and the clubs’ employees broke out into a fistfight. Officer Carlos Saura said Tootsie’s management called the police.

The rapper was taken into custody and cited for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence.

According to the AP, Trick Daddy, whose mug shot shows a bloody nose and cheek, was taken to a hospital where he was treated for injuries from the fight. He was later transported to the Miami-Dade County jail.

He was released that same day, after posting a $1,500 bond.

E!Online quotes a police reports noting that Trick resisted arrest. “Asked to put his hands behind his back, he refused and started moving his arms around not to be handcuffed,” it says.

The rapper reportedly used “profanity” and threatened employees at Tootsie’s.

The Miami native released his first album, “Based on a True Story,” in 1997, under the name he originally used, Trick Daddy Dollars. His 2001 album “Thugs Are Us” has gained platinum status.

His albums are all gangster-themed, with titles such as “Book of Thugs: Chapter AK Verse 47,” “Thug Holiday” and “Back by Thug Demand,” released in late 2006.

He is reportedly working on a new disc, “Welcome to the Thug Country,” but no release date has been announced. The rapper released a video for “Tuck Ya Ice,” the second single off “Back by Thug Demand,” earlier this year.

Trick’s label, Slip-N-Slide Records, has declined to comment the incident.
