Joey Fatone Will TV Guide Us on the Red Carpet
Joey Fatone, of 'N Sync fame, will join Lisa Rinna on the red carpet spread out for award ceremonies through 2008, and interview celebrities for TV Guide.

Joey Fatone left anonymity behind when he joined ‘90s boy band ‘N Sync. After the group disbanded in 2002, Joey maintained public visibility though varied entertainment projects.

The latest to this list is a deal to co-host TV Guide Networks’ red-carpet coverage during the award show season through 2008. He will first find himself alongside Lisa Rinna on September 16, when the two make their hosting debut at the Emmy Awards.

“I am looking forward to making the red-carpet experience entertaining, spontaneous and, most of all, fun - not only for those walking the red carpet but also for the fans watching at home,” Fatone said.

The channel announced it had signed Lisa Rinna in April, replacing previous red-carpet hosts, mother-daughter team Joan and Melissa Rivers.

Fatone and Rinna have both participated on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” but in different seasons. They will be chatting with 2008’s favorite celebrities at the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards and SAG Awards.

Joey Fatone, 30, is currently hosting NBC’s new game show “The Singing Bee,” a job he’s held since July this year, when the show made its debut.

He appeared in 2002’s romantic comedy “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” starring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett and in 2003’s drama “The Cooler,” starring William H. Macy and Maria Bello.

Fatone has also played in “ Little Shop of Horrors” and in “Rent,” on Broadway.

He is married and father to a 6-year-old daughter.
