Last year in November Spears, 24, has filed the divorce citing irreconcilable differences with Federline, 29.
Today, their marriage ended after Court Commissioner Scott Gordon signed orders for dissolution of marriage.
"I think she's okay with the terms," Spears' lawyer, Laura Wasser, said in a press statement after the hearing. "I think both of them would prefer to have more custody, and that can be worked out down the line."
During their two years of marriage Spears and Federline had two sons, 22-month-old Sean Preston Federline and 10-month-old Jayden James Federline.
According to Wasser, the child custody order was tentatively sealed, pending an Aug. 14 hearing.
