Brazil Defends Chile, Mexico Moves To Quarters
Brazil may hope again for Copa America after its wonderful match on Sunday against Chile

A hat-trick from Robinho gave Brazil a 3-0 victory and the team has now a chance to advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa America.

Robinho scored his first goal from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute and the others two in the second half.

"It is not my victory but the whole team's," Real Madrid striker Robinho said. "I am very happy, but I am happier about the team's win than about my three goals. Now we have to see the best Brazil, and I am sure we are going to keep improving."

Despite the win, Brazilian media commented that the Dunga’s team played badly and only Robinho’s efforts made the difference.

In the other match of Group B Mexico beat Ecuador 2-1 to immediately qualify to the quarterfinals. Mexico defeated Brazil in the first round of Group B and is leading the group with six points.

Mexico’s first goal against Ecuador was scored in the first half Olympiakos striker Nery Castillo and Omar Brazo made it 2-0 in the 79th minute.

Brazil is yet to play Ecuador and Mexico will face Chile in the first round of the Copa America.
